🪴 Basic Caterpillar Rearing Tips:

• Foodplants: Accepts a wide range of hosts including birch, eucalyptus, hawthorn, liquidambar, oak, and willow. Always use fresh, pesticide-free leaves, changed daily.
• Humidity: Prefers moderate humidity. Light misting is fine, but avoid soggy conditions.
• Housing: Use a ventilated container or mesh cage. Keep clean and dry to prevent mould.
• Growth: These caterpillars grow steadily and will need more food and space as they develop.
• Cocooning: Pupae are spun in loose silk among leaves or twigs. Overwinter in a cool, dry (but frost-free) area.
